From Code to Doodles: Still Unfinished.
Hey there, it’s Tuesday, and guess what? I actually did something! After what feels like an eternity of saying “I’ll do it tomorrow,” I finally added some projects to my site. But let’s not get too excited—I’m not saying I finished them, just that I’ve finished adding them. There’s a difference, you know.
When I first started coding, I was like, "Watch out world, here comes the next tech wizard!"
I thought within a week, my site would be the digital equivalent of a bustling metropolis with skyscrapers of projects. Spoiler alert: It didn’t happen. Turns out, coding in real life isn’t like those “learn to code” commercials where everyone’s high-fiving and coding in a cozy, well-lit room.
I’ve been coding for a year now—if you count the days I actually did it, not the ones where I just looked at the screen and pretended to work. I’ve learned a lot, but implementing? That’s another story. I’m the king of starting projects, but finishing them? That’s like asking me to eat vegetables voluntarily.
So, what’s on my site now? One is a Crooze Fm website clone. The other is a simple ‘speech-to-text’ web app, TransAudio, this one I’m actually proud of. I’ve been using it for some fancy research project at UMN. It’s like having a digital scribe, except when it mishears “code” for “cold” and you end up with a recipe instead of software.
And just because I love a good celebration, I’ve added confetti animations. Yes, you read that right. Confetti! At the end of every note on my site, including this one. Because why not end on a high note, even if the project isn’t?
I’ve promised myself I’ll finish these projects. My YouTube therapist (yes, I watch therapy videos because it’s easier than doing actual work) says publishing them might light a fire under me. So, in the words of Kamala Harris, “So hear me when I say,” I will finish them.
For now, you can check out my parade of unfinished stuff right here: #. Don’t forget to click for the confetti - it’s the only completed thing on this site!
That’s it for Tuesday!.
